The OSS Flasher is a software tool to update flash based ICs. It runs on a Pentium Class PC and works with SMSC's hardware platforms for flashing. The OSS Flasher runs on a Pentium Class PC with minimum 32 MB RAM and 4 MB free hard disk space and one of the operating systems Windows 2000 / XP. One free serial port or one free PCI slot is mandatory.

MOST PCI Tool Kit
MOST PCI Interface
MOST PC Card with the Control Port drivers installed, Basic Package
INIC Explorer Interface Box
Flash files define the communication protocol between the PC and the hardware during an upload. They are part of the respective hardware (see Requirements). They do not contain any information about the program that will be uploaded to the target hardware. Therefore, memory files must be provided when using the flash files.
